Endoscopic extraction of a peritoneal loose body: a case report of an infant.Asabe K, Maekawa T, Yamashita Y, Shirakusa T Second Department of Surgery, Fukuoka University School of Medicine, 45-1, 7-chome Nanakuma Jonan-ku, Fukuoka, 814-0180, Japan. asabe@fukuoka-u.ac.jp A 2-month-old female infant with a peritoneal loose body presenting as an abdominal mass and urinary tract infection is described. Peritoneal loose bodies are usually found in the pelvis of adult patients. A peritoneal loose body should be considered in the differential diagnosis of a mobile lesion found in the abdomen.
